Aluminium Rollers

Aluminium rollers are hollow tubes of aluminium alloy, machined to tight tolerances. They weigh far less than steel rollers of the same size yet support comparable loads without bending. A thin hard oxide skin forms naturally on the surface and stops rust in damp or chemical atmospheres. Because the roller body is light, the frame that holds it needs less steel, motors draw lower current plus one person lifts a roller by hand during change overs. The alloy tube keeps its shape under belt tension - sheets of paper, film or plywood travel at steady speed without wrinkles. Plants order rollers turned to the length and diameter they specify. Surface options include a mirror polish, a uniform matte, a pattern cut by diamond tools or a spiral groove. Packaging lines printing presses, textile finishers, plywood hot presses, paper machines but also automotive paint booths all use those rollers. They run for years with no paint or plating to refresh cutting spare part bills and downtime.
